Board Members

Katie Zinn

As a Vail Resorts Certified Instructor, Katie saw the financial barriers for adaptive skiers. Her enthusiasm for making sure that all skiers have access to world-class recreational and learning opportunities – as well as her background in education, therapy, and not-for-profit management – inspired her to create Access Unbound. Katie saw the dramatic difference skiing made in the lives of students with disabilities both on and off the snow.

Mary C. Zarba

Mary was introduced to the Vail Resorts Adaptive Program when her brother Peter had the opportunity to ski with Katie Zinn. For the first time, Peter – who was in a wheelchair – was able to ski with his family. Mary has more than 25 years of experience in health care management. She is the owner of HeadFirst Consulting, based in beautiful Vail, Colorado.

Pete Seibert

Pete moved to the Vail Valley in 1962 when Vail Mountain opened. His father, the founder of Vail, was a World War II veteran. To honor his father, Pete began helping with the Vail Adaptive Program by volunteering to help veterans ski again. He also experienced the positive change this program fosters when his in-law – who had lost his leg to cancer – transformed his life after skiing with the Vail Resorts Adaptive Program. This convinced Pete that he needed to be involved in an organization like Access Unbound that helps others with disabilities enjoy skiing.

Margo Hields

Margo was a participant in the Vail Adaptive Program 23 years ago after receiving a heart transplant. It helped her ski again, and now she skis 40 to 60 days a year. After her personal experience, she is passionate about supporting Access Unbound to help other adaptive skiers. Margo currently is a co-owner of Sportube and lives in the Vail Valley.

Will Coffman

Will is an avid, independent, paralyzed skier. He credits his return to the slopes after many years off to the Vail Adaptive Program and his instructor Katie Zinn. He is a partner at Bullhorn, a branding company based in Washington, DC and Lexington, KY.
